He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
We believe in one God, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, Creator of all things seen and unseen. God is holy, good, loving, kind, gracious, but just; immortal, transcendent, yet imminent, all-powerful, omniscient, omnipresent and relational.
In the beginning of space and time, God not only created the heavens and the Earth, but created a kingdom for Himself. God created man to be his co-regents in that Kingdom. However, man was deceived by the Satan, and disobeyed God, committing cosmic treason. As a result, sin and death entered the world. God is angry and the sentence has been passed: Mankind is guilty and stands condemned by default. That’s the Bad News.
Nevertheless, because of God’s loving kindness and graciousness, God the Father gave his one and only Son, Jesus Christ, the precious Lamb of God, truly God and truly man, to unjustly die on the cross and rescue mankind from sin and death, because we could never rescue ourselves. For those who surrender their lives, who trust in Jesus Christ as both LORD and Savior, their sins are forgiven, Christ’s righteousness is imputed to them, God’s wrath is turned away from them, they are sealed by the Holy Spirit and they are given eternal life. That’s the Good News!
We know that the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant, infallible word of God, describing God’s amazing plan of redemption for mankind, the Good News of eternal life in the soon coming Kingdom of God, which will be fully established on earth at Christ’s return. The Bible is authoritative, instructing us in all things pertaining to our lives in Christ.
